Djarum′s first kretek cigarette was a hand-rolled product made using minimal equipment through a simple manufacturing process. Over the years, the variety of kretek cigarettes that Djarum makes has expanded enormously. Simply speaking however, the cigarettes as categorized by their method of manufacture fall into either the hand-rolled category or the machine-rolled category. Both are popular and are produced in large quantities. Meanwhile, Djarum′s innovations in flavoring have produced a wide variety of brands.
The manufacturing process begins with the careful selection of raw materials. The main production materials consist of a master tobacco and cloves that have been processed through Djarum′s proprietary cutting process into Superfine Cloves. The cloves and tobacco are then blended together under strict and exacting controls and additional ingredients are added before the mixture is rolled into a wrapper and packaged for distribution.
With over half a century of history behind it, Djarum has come a long way from its quiet beginnings on the streets of Kudus. Today Djarum has become a familiar icon in Indonesia thanks to our popular clove-and-tobacco cigarette products, which are familiar all over the archipelago. As our marketing trainees, you will undergo one-year training where you will learn various marketing & sales functions as you will be groomed to be part of our marketing & sales management team. In marketing function you will learn about promoting, advertising, analyzing market and demographics. In sales function you will learn about sales procedures, sales strategies and distribution channels.At the end of the training, you will be well-equipped to develop integrated marketing and sales strategies. Business Unit Service Staff (Code: BUS)
We urgently need some personnel to support the use and exploitation of IT applications and systems in the company. You will be assisting IT users in their use of IT applications and helping them troubleshooting any difficulties. You will also have to contribute to the development and installation of new systems. This position is based in our Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Kudus and Surabaya office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Information Engineering/ Management

- Professionally able to utilize PC platform and its applications, especially Windows 7 professional suite (MS Office, Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)

Marketing Research Staff (Code: MR)
Our Marketing Researchers are to develop research method such as create questionnaires, interview target market and analyze data. They also need to have strong quantitative and analytical skills. Our Marketing Staff are to monitor, analyze and build our distribution channel. This position is based in our Jakarta and Surabaya office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree from all major, but preferable from Statistic/ Psychology or IT/ Economy Management/ Accounting from reputable universities
- Min. GPA of 3.0
- Willing to extensively travel throughout our sites nationwide
